Intro:
Ignition flames illume the rocket center they waving their fare thee well balloons
It makes me think I should have stayed in Alabama as darkness comes onto me as a gloom
And far below ‘s the rocket base canteen where the dinner always tasted kinda neat
Oh I recall the grumpy waitress serving with hands just so astonishingly sweet
Halleluhjah, halleluhjah and hallowed be your name
Halleluhjah and fucking hallowed be your name
I never been a man of great remorses but now I feel like Orpheus looking back
The earth I loved is standing still as stone now and fading little further into black
I grab a pen to write myself a letter but microgravity ‘s just kicking in
I should have stayed in Mobile Alabama to listen to that Memphis Blues again
Halleluhjah, halleluhjah and hallowed be your name
Halleluhjah and fucking hallowed be your name
Verse 1:
Two weeks inside the graveyard orbit where space junk kinda ruins the atmohsphere
Another lonely Sunday morning I think I might just turn a little weird
The radio signal is disrupted I couldn’t hear a human voice in days
Looks like the sun is made of plastic and I gaze amazed
Chorus:
It never rains in space, it never rains
It never rains in space, it never rains
It never rains in space, eternity’s a murderer
It never rains in space, eternity’s a murderer
She’s a murderer who’s murdering for you
Verse 2:
Four years inside the graveyard orbit I didn’t take a shower in a while
Terrified of seeing my own reflection as I start looking somehow like Zakk Wylde
Some trash just bumped into my engines, the spaceship will just set itself ablaze
I think of Mobile Alabama on a rainy day
Chorus:
It never rains in space, it never rains
It never rains in space, it never rains
It never rains in space, eternity’s a murderer
It never rains in space, eternity’s a murderer
She’s a murderer who’s murdering for you
Bridge:
Got my space suit and my space boots and I’m drifting by into eternity (16x or so)
Oh yeah...
Outro Monologue:
And just as I am floating alone into the endless dark of space eternity, I see a light growing from the very midst of the universe. A light of such magnificence and beauty, that a small tear is rolling down my cheeks, leaving me in a state of essential confusion. In the past years of isolation I have given up on my entire ability to feel, neither sadness nor joy neither love nor any other feeling. But in this particular moment all those lost feelings are flooding back into my body simultaneously. Anyway, just out of this light I see, there are creatures suddenly appearing, marvelous creatures...like... angels or so, with blonde hair. But they are not all blonde there are some black angels too and everything you know... heavens not racist and all, it’s just a place of peace and harmony. Anyway, as those friendly
creatures come to me, I open my arms and I open my heart to embrace them and I feel humbled. And now that they are floating next to me they laying their hands on my shoulder and start singing a song, pure and genuine....
Outro:
Space boy you should have stayed in Alabama heavens not a place for you to go
Your body’s lost your name will be forgotten but try to have some confidence and hope The chimes will ring the pearly gates are waiting but now is not the time for you to leave So close your eyes embrace the time your given and try to overcome your misery Halleluhjah, halleluhjah and hallowed be your name
Halleluhjah and fucking hallowed be your name
